The big classics

Everyone is more than familiar with the icons of our Belgian Coast: pedal cars, sandcastles, Boules de Berlin, kites... all of them part of our collective memory and all still as popular as ever.

Fancy returning to the seaside too?

In 2020, the Belgian Coast will take you on a trip down memory lane and pay homage to the legendary go-cart. The cuistax (also known as go-cart or pedal kart) has been gracing our promenade for close on one century. Admit, who doesn’t have happy childhood memories of a go-cart ride?

This year you won’t have to content yourself with whizzing down the promenade because our 17 exclusive go-cart routes will bring you along spots that were never accessible to go-cart before. Each seaside resort numbers (at least) 1 go-cart route. The routes are exclusively available from our 53 go-cart businesses. Fancy trying out the lot?

An exclusive look behind the scenes

Stories from the seaside

Whatever about the pedal cars, also the people hiring them out are firm fixtures on the Belgian Coast. Most of them are family businesses run by entrepreneurs who have been living at the Belgian Coast forever and a day. We took the liberty of knocking on their door to collect their fascinating stories in an exclusive look behind the scenes.
