We have selected a sample of what is on offer in each coastal town.
Beaufort 2018 spots that you must see
Once again this year, a selection of domestic and international artists have provided works to be exhibited in the open space on the seaside. Beaufort 2018 takes place from 30 March to 30 September 2018, under the curatorship of Heidi Ballet. She is an independent curator in Brussels and Berlin. 18 artists are contributing 19 top artworks in the nine participating coastal municipalities (excluding Blankenberge). The works in Beaufort 2018 seek, according to Curator Heidi Ballet, the free-thinking nature of the Coast. The unique strengths of Beaufort 2018 are the unique setting of the sea, the accessibility of the project, its spread along the coastline and the development of a high-quality sculpture park for the long run.
Beaufort Sculpture Park on the Coast
Thanks to the various editions of the Beaufort arts triennial, the Coast has been endowed with a unique, permanent sculpture park. Many works from the earlier edition were purchased and thus can remain at their original locations or were moved to a new spot. A fine collection of top artworks that are there to be discovered all year round..
Due to the corona crisis, opening hours and timetables may vary. If in doubt, it is best to contact the entrepreneur himself.
