The Beaufort art triennial is now on its sixth edition. This year once again, it is bringing a selection of national and international artists and their works to public spaces on the seaside. Beaufort 2018 takes place between 30 March and 30 September 2018, under the direction of its curator, Heidi Ballet. She is a self-employed curator working out of Brussels and Berlin. 18 artists have made 19 top works to the nine coastal towns (excluding Blankenberge). The works for Beaufort 2018 are, according to Curator Heidi Ballet, looking at the free-thinking nature of the Coast. The strongest and unique qualities of Beaufort 2018 are the unique backdrop of the sea, the accessibility of the project, the distribution of the works along the coastline and the development of a high-quality sculpture park over the long term.
