Anemos Knokke-Heist

The beach of Knokke-Heist is home to several beach clubs. They’re wonderful to clear your head or to enjoy the action on the beach and in the sea from your lounge chair on the terrace. Certainly contact the club if you would like to get in on the action yourself and try out a beach or water sport.

Hoeve Hazegras

Stop! There’s delicious homemade ice cream to get at this farm. So it’s the perfect place to take a break and taste one of their 15 delicious flavours.

Zoete Polder

Zoete Polder

This orchard grows juicy plump cherries, straight from the tree to the shop in one morning! Those that don’t make the cut are turned into artisanal jam or delicious fruit juice, or fermented into crisply sweet cherry beer. So a place replete with vitamins!

Nowadays, the Kalfmolen windmill at the Graaf Jansdijk is one of the only ones left of the scores that once covered the polder landscape. Built sometime in the 16th century, it ground its last grain in 1926, but was given a new lease of life in 1980 when it was put back into operation for the Molenfeesten folk event.

At the Belgian Coast, you don’t need to go far to indulge your culinary senses, because there are seven (!) Michelin-star restaurants that will pull out all the stops to serve you every treat the region has on offer. In Knokke-Heist there are:

  • Bartholomeus**
  • Cuines33*
  • Jardin *
  • Sel Gris*.

Not only Michelin find the Belgian Coast delicious, Gault Millau love the region too!

Shopping at the Belgian Coast

Shoppen aan de Kust

Take a stroll along the fancy boutiques, also on Sundays! Because Knokke-Heist is famous as a destination for fashion lovers, among Belgians and foreigners alike, as they scour the Lippenslaan, the Kustlaan and the seafront, shopping as they should: with verve.
