With an enormous playground, a go-cart circuit, kayaks, rowing boats, a pitch & putt course and three fishing ponds this stunning park will keep you entertained for days. Activities subject to payment. Also make it your business to call into the Koninginnehof, the ‘queen’s court’ situated on the island in the Maria Hendrika Park, right in the heart of Ostend’s green lung.
The Royal and Venetian Galleries, which shape Ostend’s cityscape, form an amazing backdrop for stunning photographs at sunset.
Aside from being a wonderful spot for a walk by the sea, Ostend’s atmospheric promenade, with its many terraces, is a great place to watch the world go by.

Voet- en fietsveer (Ferry)
The ferryboats, which were co-designed by Roger Raveel, take pedestrians and cyclists from the western shore (Visserskaai near the Noordzeeaquarium) to the eastern shore (Maritiem Plein) and back again and free of charge at that!
A stunningly restored dune fort on Ostend’s Oosteroever, built under the reign of Napoleon. Guided tours and a great bistro/restaurant. Two centuries of history under one roof!
't Eilandje bij de Spuikom
’t Eilandje (the island) is a green zone that forms part of Vuurtorenwijk, between the Spuikom (Vicognedijk) and the Ostend-Bruges Canal (Bredensesteenweg). This 2.5 ha neighbourhood park connects Kustbaan and the Bredene-Sas quarter.
Groene 62 (greenway), once upon a time the railway track between Ostend and Torhout, is a stunning walking and cycling trail in the heart of the countryside.
Pet Farm 'De Lange Schuur'
Pet farm "de Lange Schuur", situated on the outskirts of Ostend, is a great place to introduce children to all aspects of life on the farm.
