With an enormous playground, a go-cart circuit, kayaks, rowing boats, a pitch & putt course and three fishing ponds this stunning park will keep you entertained for days. Activities subject to payment. Also make it your business to call into the Koninginnehof, the ‘queen’s court’ situated on the island in the Maria Hendrika Park, right in the heart of Ostend’s green lung.

The ferryboats, which were co-designed by Roger Raveel, take pedestrians and cyclists from the western shore (Visserskaai near the Noordzeeaquarium) to the eastern shore (Maritiem Plein) and back again and free of charge at that!

’t Eilandje (the island) is a green zone that forms part of Vuurtorenwijk, between the Spuikom (Vicognedijk) and the Ostend-Bruges Canal (Bredensesteenweg). This 2.5 ha neighbourhood park connects Kustbaan and the Bredene-Sas quarter.

Groene 62

Groene 62 (greenway), once upon a time the railway track between Ostend and Torhout, is a stunning walking and cycling trail in the heart of the countryside.
