Operation Northsea 1944-1945

Exhibition
Zeebrugge

For four years Western Europe seemed to be an impregnable German fortress, until June 1944 the Allies managed to cross the canal on D-Day and the advance to Berlin began. That's how it seems, because in October of the same year the offensive got stuck on Walcheren, the island in Zeeland that blocks the supply of Antwerp. On 1 November they repeat D-Day with Canadian, Polish, British, French, Norwegian, Dutch and Belgian troops. Operation North Sea tells the story of that decisive step in the fight against Hitler.
