In cooperation with Horizon educatief vzw and the Steunpunt NME Middenkust, the children's farm 'De Lange Schuur' invites the children of all schools of Oostende and surroundings.
The fact of bringing children in contact again with life on a farm. The farm has a yard with scratching poultry, rabbits, a pond with different sorts of ducks and turtles, a meadow with goats, sheep, pigs, little horses and other hoofed animals.
The domain is divided between the communities of Bruges, Damme, Knokke-Heist, Sluis, Aardenburg and Oostburg. It is one of the most important mud-flat and tidal-marsh areas of the coast and is flooded on a daily basis by the sea.
