Every year, on the first Sunday in August: the National Homage to H.R.H. King Albert I and the heroes of the IJzer takes place near the Memorial to King Albert Ist.
On the occasion of the Homage to H.M. King Albert 1st and the Heroes of the Yser, the city organises since 2002 a peace concert in Centrum Ysara.
