Every year, on the first Sunday in August: the National Homage to H.R.H. King Albert I and the heroes of the IJzer takes place near the Memorial to King Albert Ist.

On Sunday August 18th,30 old vessels, all based in the yacht harbour in Nieuwpoort, will sail a parade in the Channel (estuary of the river Yser in Nieuwpoort). By organising this parade, the City would like to show you his maritime heretage.
