The For Freedom Museum is located in the old community school of the picturesque polder village of Ramskapelle (part of Knokke-Heist). You can find collections by Freddy Jones, Patrick Tierssoone and the Belgian Aviation History Association.

Arctic traveller Adrien de Gerlache designed this three-master which was built in Scotland. The Mercator had only two commanders and made 54 voyages. In 1956 it repatriated the remains of Father Damien from Molokai. In 1960, it sailed into the harbour of Antwerp and in 1961, it was equipped as a museum ship.

Discover the role played by the Cistercian Monks of the Ten Duinen Abbey in Koksijde, a European project avant-la-lettre. This is no dull and stuffy affair.. Rather a unique archaeological site and a contemporary museum breathing new life into the ruin’s still stones.

The Paul Delvaux Museum is located in the idyllic setting of a former fisherman’s home which was extended under the ground. No daylight penetrates into it and so it creates the right atmosphere for preserving and showing the eerie works of the artist.

This open-air museum takes you on a walk along the well preserved remains of the Aachen battery from WWI and the ‘Saltzwedel neu’ from WWII. The bunkers furnished with original material, with open and covered passages, pieces of artillery and search lights… they are all still there, waiting for your visit. Visiting time +/- 1.5 to 2 hours.
