The museum wishes to keep the rich fishing past of our Flemish coast alive by its elaborate museum collection presented in lifelike decors, works of art, illustrations and interactive features.

The Ten Bogaerde farm was given to the Ten Duinen Abbey in 1148 by Walter Cath. From 1950 it was used as an agricultural school. In 1993 the former church building was restored and turned into a cultural centre. The Ten Bogaerde Abbey Farm is the ideal place for concerts, exhibitions, receptions and lectures due to its authentic décor.

Chapel of pilgrimage Baaldjes Kruis was built in 1819 by the last five monks of the abbey. Fully restored in 1984.

One of the most modern churches in Belgium built by architect J. Lantsoght from Bruges. 1285 seats. Also called “The Cathedral of the Light”.
